Greetings, Class of 2024! I am Mr. Hutchison and I will be the school counselor for all incoming freshmen here at Marysville-Pilchuck High School this coming school year. I'm excited to meet you! Let's talk about first steps toward next year-registering for your classes.
Our registration system is open and we are having current high school 9th-11th graders register for their next year classes. We've found out that Skyward allowed current 8th graders (who will be freshmen at MP next year) to access registration now, however the full freshmen menu of classes was not yet loaded into the system and that feature has now been turned off. What this means is that some current 8th grade students have been able to register for some classes, but this is not based on the full freshmen set of classes. Even though the system may have allowed you to choose some classes, please know that this was not the time for incoming 8th graders to register.
Here's what this means for incoming freshmen in terms of registration: We want freshmen to register starting April 27th. At that time, we will open the full set of freshmen courses. Registration will last for two weeks from that date, and is not first-come, first-served in terms of getting your names on class lists. As long as you register within that two week window (April 27th-May 11th), your chances of getting a class are the same as everyone else's. A few days before registration opens for freshmen, we will be sending out all the documents needed to guide you through this process. If you are an incoming freshmen and have already registered, please login on April 27th and redo your registration.
Thank you for your time, students and parents. I look forward to seeing you in person in the fall. It is important that you finish your 8th grade year strong and get all the learning you can out of your classes. Take care and stay healthy!
Lewis Hutchison

Meals provided for youth ages 1 - 18 at all school sites are "grab and go" style. No sit-down, cafeteria-style service.
Good afternoon, unfortunately all rooter, band, and cheer buses have been cancelled for both Friday and Saturday's State Basketball games. If your student purchased a ticket for tomorrow's rooter bus they can come to see Mrs. Jones in the cashier's office for a refund.
Thank you.
Our MPHS Open House & Electives fair scheduled for tonight, March 5th, has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date. This is due to the School Board's decision to postpone the high school boundary vote, we would like to allow a few weeks time for 8th-grade students to discuss high school options with their families.
We'll publicize our rescheduled date once set.

Just a few missed days here and there, even if they’re excused absences, can add up to too much lost learning time and put your student behind in school. This is as true in kindergarten as it is in high school. Be a #HERO...Here Everyday Ready On Time!
New Library Books for February! Our libarian, Mrs. Takahashi, has posted the following list of new books. If you'd like to request a book, please see Mrs. Takahashi.
