We can't wait until Friday for this feel good, courtesy of Mrs. Shriver's art class at Cedarcrest School. "The portraits are not only artwork, but also a warm message to you. The message is that people who live far away from you...across the ocean, were thinking about you when they created these portraits, and they put all their emotions and good feelings into this work. Good morning, families. A collision on I-5 between Smokey Point and Marysville earlier this morning is causing major traffic delays for the morning commute. At this time two lanes of traffic are open and alternate routes are being used, also congesting and slowing traffic in those areas and creating a 5 - 10 mile back up. This will cause delays in some of our school bus routes this morning. No buses or district vehicles were involved in the collision. If you live in areas where access to I-5 is used, buses will arrive to pick up your child but they may be late. Additional information is available on local news stations.

Every Tuesday and Thursday John Bloom comes to Kellogg Marsh Elementary to help students in Mrs. Whitfield’s class with their math lessons. His passion for teaching and helping kids resulted in the creation of the Math Olympiad Team, which competes in one of the most prestigious mathematical competitions in the world. Mr. Bloom’s commitment, encouragement and understanding of students’ unique needs help them to reach their full potential and find fun and excitement in the world of math! We were thrilled to join KM Elementary last week as they celebrated the students' accomplishments, and Mr. Bloom's hard work!
"Martinez plays soccer, was elected class president and takes multiple advanced classes. His mom and younger sister are his biggest supporters, he said. He’d like to go to college somewhere local, maybe the University of Washington, so he’s not far from them. He aims to be an optometrist.
He’s been doing some research on Spain, he said, and is excited to experience the art, culture and people firsthand." via Everett Herald https://goo.gl/qhvtUf
