After school activities at MPHS will continue as normal this afternoon. Students are being dismissed at 12:45, and school operations are resuming.
Students are moving to their 6th period classes. Marysville Pilchuck will remain in modified lockdown with police presence on campus through the end of the day. Students will be dismissed at the regular dismissal time.
Marysville Pilchuck High School is currently in lockdown. Students and staff are safe. There is a large police presence on campus due to a fight involving multiple students. There was not a threat to the school. The lockdown was implemented for crowd control purposes.

Totem Middle School was placed in lockdown for a short time at the end of the day for a safety check by law enforcement. This resulted in dismissal being slightly delayed. The lockdown has been lifted and students dismissed. All students and staff are safe.

Quil Ceda Tulalip and the Marysville Tulalip campus are in external lockdown due to police activity in the area. Not school related. Students and staff are safe.

The heating unit has failed at MPHS which will impact heating of the buildings at the campus. Maintenance staff are working to fix the problem but it may take most of the day. School will remain in session with a normal schedule.
The District Office will be closed from Friday, December 21 through Tuesday, January 1 for the winter break. Winter break for schools begins on Thursday, December 20 (early release on Wednesday, 12/19 following the conference release time schedule).
The District Office will reopen on Wednesday, January 2, at 8:00 am. School resumes Thursday, January 3.
