Hello Second and Third Grade Pinewood Families,
Each Friday, starting tomorrow, February 19, all students will be online for about a half hour in the a.m., 8:30 to 9:00, regardless of whether they attend AM Hybrid, PM Hybrid, or Continuous Learning 2.0, now or in the future. The rest of the day on Fridays is set up for asynchronous learning, also known as independent learning at home. Our new Friday Hybrid schedule will remain in place until (if and when) students come back to school full time.
Also, as your teachers prepare for our second and third graders coming back to campus on March 8, we have some additional changes for second and third grades only. There will only be morning Zoom classes from Monday, February 22, through Tuesday, March 2. Also, on Wednesday, March 3, Thursday, March 4 and for this particular Friday, March 5 teachers will do a morning Zoom meeting for about 30 minutes to take attendance and set students up for their day of asynchronous learning, also known as independent learning time. The afternoons from February 22 through March 2 and the three whole days March 3- March 5 will be used to prepare for students. This includes safety trainings to keep our students, you and us safe.
We look forward to seeing our second and third graders back on campus. If you have not completed our Hybrid survey yet, please do so as we will be assigning students to classes this coming week and we want to have your input.
