Did you know a Marysville and Tulalip community coalition works to address alcohol and substance abuse among youth in the Maryville and Tulalip communities? United Stories, a Community Wellness Coalition, in partnership with the Marysville School District, the City of Marysville, The Tulalip Tribes, and other local organizations, is committed to building a safe and healthy community.
As part of the Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI), the Coalition needs your help to learn your thoughts on underage drinking and substance abuse in Marysville and Tulalip. The Coalition has launched its annual community questionnaire to gather input to help guide its work to develop effective substance abuse prevention, youth support programs, and initiatives for Marysville and Tulalip.
Please take a moment to complete the questionnaire by November 3, 2023.

Dear MMS Families and Staff,
The purpose of this message is to notify you about a social media post made on Instagram from an unknown source saying “don’t go to school on Tuesday because it is going to be lit up.” The post was reported to District Security and the Marysville Police Department. The Police have investigated and do not believe the post to be credible. We take any and all incidents such as this seriously and feel it is important to make our MMS families and staff aware.
There will be an extra security presence on campus tomorrow. If your student reports anything suspicious that they may have heard about this post please contact our office. We will continue to investigate this matter but do believe it has no credibility. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority and we must all work together to help ensure that we uphold and maintain a safe and secure environment at our school.
Thank you for your continued support.
Mary Ingraham
Principal

AVID Family Night coming November 30 at Marysville Middle School from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. This event is open to all families district-wide.

Outdoor Activities:
Due to the air quality staying at unhealthy levels, outdoor activities for students including elementary school recess and outdoor PE for all grades are to be held indoors where feasible. In addition, outdoor after-school sports practices are to be moved inside where feasible.
The status of scheduled after-school sports competitions will be monitored and communicated directly to coaches from the Athletic Department and to parents/guardians through FinalForms.
Smoke and Particulates:
Many of our buildings are experiencing the smell of smoke indoors. To help alleviate some of the smell, the airflow has been reduced. This will not eliminate the smell of smoke.
Each building has filters that are changed on a regular cycle. These filters may help to reduce the particulates indoors. Students and staff who must walk outside between classes and who are in sensitive groups may want to consider wearing a mask to help limit exposure and reduce the inhalation of particulates.
Masks are available from your school offices.
This current order is in effect through Thursday (October 20) evening.
