Hi Charger Seniors and Guardians!

If you have not done so already, please add yourself to my Google Classroom [class code: pvwblss] via your student email. Please stay up to date on all emails and posts from me regarding important information and upcoming events including college resources for seniors, career & college readiness opportunities, scholarship opportunities, financial aid assistance, and more!

Regarding financial aid applications this year, there are some important things to note:
Firstly, the 2025-26 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and WASFA (Washington Application for State Financial Aid) will not be available until December 2024. Applications usually open on October 1 of a student’s senior year, so this is a major shift in the college planning process. The good news is that this delay is due to positive changes in the process:

  • The FAFSA form will be shorter and less complex.

  • More students will be eligible for federal Pell Grants, and the average Pell award will be larger.

I will visit all of the senior social studies classes (Mr. Natterstad & Mrs. Edens) on Thursday, November 14th to assist students in creating their financial aid IDs for applications! This is a helpful first step to completing your financial aid applications! Please have the following available to you to help you in successfully completing your application ID:

  • Social Security Number (If you have one)

  • Full Name (As it appears on your Social Security card)

  • Full Date of Birth

  • Personal Email Address
