Hi Charger Seniors and Guardians! 

My name is Alicia Coragiulo (Ms. C) and I am your Career & College Readiness Counselor . 

I have had the pleasure of introducing myself to many of you by visiting your classes over the last few weeks of school. If you have not yet met me, please reach out and say hi!

Please stay up to date on all emails and posts from me regarding important information and upcoming events including college resources for seniors, career & college readiness opportunities, scholarship opportunities, financial aid assistance, and more! 

Please join us for our second annual MSD High School & Beyond Night [a Career & College Fair] at Marysville-Pilchuck High School on Tuesday, October 8th at 6:00 PM. We will have over 75 college and career representatives present! At this event, we will have a Financial Aid ID Creation Workshop [here’s what you’ll need] and a College Essay Writing Workshop! Please bring your Chromebook and come prepared to receive help.

Regarding financial aid applications this year, there are some important things to note:
Firstly, the 2025-26 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and WASFA (Washington Application for State Financial Aid) will not be available until December 2024. Applications usually open on October 1 of a student’s senior year, so this is a major shift in the college planning process. The good news is that this delay is due to positive changes in the process:

• The FAFSA form will be shorter and less complex.

• More students will be eligible for federal Pell Grants, and the average Pell award will be larger.
