Legacy Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!
Mark your calendar for Welcome Week, September 9-11. This is a time when your teachers will be getting to know their students and getting them acquainted with classroom expectations. We will also be hosting a drive-thru check-in and swag bag handout on Wednesday and Thursday, September 9th and 10th, all thanks to your ASB and PTSA. Please join us for one of these two mornings between 9:00 am and 11:00 am or Wednesday, September 9th between 4-6:00 pm. This event is for grades 9-12 and counts as participation for the Asynchronous part of your day.
Legacy’s schedule will include Asynchronous periods 1-5 every morning before lunch and Synchronous periods 1-5 every afternoon. Asynchronous learning (Independent work) is time for students to complete tasks in preparation for live instruction or complete work from the previous day. Teachers will have “office hours” during Asynchronous periods to answer questions and provide support to students. Synchronous learning is online with live instruction sessions. A copy of our bell schedule is attached and a printed copy will be included in the swag bag.
Student schedules are available to view online. If you need help logging into Skyward or have questions about your student’s schedule, please email LegacyHS@msd25.org. We have developed a 1-stop contact page with links to each teacher's lesson plans and staff emails.
Attendance is very important, especially the first 4 days of school, and will be taken every period, every day. Please make sure your student “attends” classes during the first 4 days of school. Students that are not in attendance these days will be withdrawn from Legacy High School.
If you purchased a 2019-2020 Legacy Yearbook they will be available for pick up during our swag bag distribution times. A date for 2020-2021 school pictures will be communicated after school gets underway. If you are new to Marysville or have not previously checked out a Chromebook they will be available during the drive-thru times or by appointment by calling Erica at 360-965-2871.
