Dear Graduating Class of 2020 students and families,
As previously communicated, each of the high school graduations will be presented virtually this year due to the impacts of COVID-19.
We are very fortunate to have scheduled the videography early on with Life and Light and we are excited to announce that we will be able to premier each of the virtual graduation ceremonies on the scheduled graduation day dates and times:
Marysville Getchell High School, June 10, 4:00 pm
Marysville Pilchuck High School, June 10, 7:00 pm
Legacy High School, June 11, 4:30 pm
Heritage High School, June 11, 7:00 pm
While we know a virtual ceremony does not replace the pomp and circumstance of an in-person event, Life and Light has captured each graduate. They also included student and staff speeches in the video and a link to photos for you to share.
At the end of each graduation video, watch for the instructions on how to access your photos from Life and Light. Please visit our website dedicated to the Class of 2020 at https://bit.ly/MSDClassof2020Graduation to access the graduation ceremony premiers for each high school. In addition, your high school will share the link through direct email, and on their web and social media sites. The links will be added to the district website tonight but will not go live until the set graduation time. This will give you an opportunity to share out and then view with family and friends at the same time. The video links will be shareable and accessible in the future as well.
To our graduates: The Marysville School District Board of Directors, teachers, administrators, and support staff congratulate each of you on your accomplishments and on reaching this milestone in your life. Your graduating class is one that will make history books, an experience that you are not only going through alone, but together in our Marysville and Tulalip community, and together with every single graduating class world-wide.
Class of 2020, you have overcome adversity and have a clear path to a bright future. We are so proud of you! Although you may feel alone, these crises will make you stronger. You are the future leaders. You can change the world for the better.
Congratulations!
