Dr. Zac Robbins Starts in Marysville School District on June 1, 2022
Marysville School District’s new superintendent will start one month earlier than planned by connecting in multiple ways.

Msvl. WA - Administrative contracts typically start annually on July 1. In the Marysville School District, Dr. Zachary Robbins, the incoming Superintendent who the Board of Directors hired in March, will start his work beginning June 1. The Board of Directors took action to approve a one-month contract at a special meeting on May 31 and officially swore in Dr. Robbins to assume all roles and responsibilities of the Superintendent. This early start will provide him the opportunity to work with the school board and district leaders to continue the important work that is already underway including developing the 2022 - 2023 budget. He will also take some time to further familiarize himself with the schools and district connecting with students, staff, families, and community members prior to summer break.

Starting earlier than planned will require some scheduling adjustments and flexibility with some of the time working remotely and some of the time in person. Dr. Robbins has already visited nearly every school in the district and he will continue those visits as his schedule allows during the transition.

Some of Dr. Robbins's first days will include the June 6 Board of Directors work study session and regular meeting where he will be officially seated at the dais with the Board of Directors.

“I am very pleased to step into my role sooner than later and appreciate the Board’s action to make the timely transition as smooth as possible,” said Dr. Robbins. “I am very much looking forward to working with our schools' staff, families, students, and the Marysville and Tulalip community to build lasting partnerships and relationships where each student is successful in school and prepared for life” he added.
