The Marysville School District communications department received the National School Public Relations Golden Achievement Award for the Education, Programs, and Operations Levy information campaign carried out last spring.
The Marysville School District communications department team received the Golden Achievement Award from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for their work on the 2023 Education, Programs, and Operations Levy information campaign. The Golden Achievement Award recognizes outstanding, strategic work in all aspects of school public relations, communication, marketing, and engagement.
“We are extremely proud to receive this recognition from NSPRA,” said Jodi Runyon, Director of Communications, Engagement, and Outreach. “Our purpose was to create a strategic levy campaign to share facts and information with our school district's parents/guardians, staff, and the greater Marysville and Tulalip communities, and we feel we accomplished that. This award affirms the team’s work to engage the public about the critical levy measure,” she added.
NSPRA uses a variety of association members and public relations professionals as judges who are experienced, award-winning, and accredited. When reviewing Golden Achievement Award entries, they judge each entry individually based on strategic communication best practices, good writing, and alignment with entry guidelines. Judges score the entry against the following criteria: Research, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation, with each area making up 25% of the overall score. Winning entries are recognized nationally and receive annual awards at the NSPRA National Seminar in July and recognized in a digital display at the member center in the marketplace at the seminar and recognized on the NSPRA website.
