Retrieval Credits Available:

  • Students may receive a semester 0.5 credit for each class they attend and complete. Students may attend both Session 1 & Session 2 classes for a maximum of 4 classes and 2.0 credits.

  • Final course offerings are dependent upon the number of students registered and instructor availability. Course options are listed on the registration form.

  • Students must have regularly attended and failed or received an incomplete or NC in their regular high school class in order to be eligible to take a credit retrieval class. The amount of general knowledge a student gains and the efforts they put into a course during the regular school year are direct indicators of whether or not they will be successful in a summer school credit retrieval course.

Registration Now Closed:
Registration for the high school summer school program for credit retrieval and initial credit is now closed. Please read the following information carefully.  Additional details are outlined below.

High school credit retrieval and initial credit courses will be offered online. There will be two sessions, each eight days long, with session one beginning June 18 and session two beginning July 8. Classes will be held in the morning and afternoon.

A flat $50 fee will be charged for credit retrieval for up to four classes (2.0 credits), and it must be paid before the start of classes. If a student fails a class in session one and reattempts the class in session two, another $50 fee will apply.

A fee of $125 per class for initial credit will be charged for any first attempt at credit for PE, health, or an independent learning elective. Initial credit allows students to earn credit now in these areas, freeing them up to take other credit-earning classes during the school year.

Payment is required at the time of registration, and online payment is preferred. If paying in person at your student's school, payment is requested within three business days of completing the registration form to confirm the student's registration in courses. Once registered and paid, the fee is non-refundable.
