August 29, 2023: MSD Board of Directors adopt the 2023 - 2024 Operating Budget
The Marysville School District Board of Directors took action in accordance with Resolution No. 2023-12 for the purpose of adopting the 2023 - 2023 Operating Budget for the District at a special meeting on August 28, 2023. September 22, 2023: MSD State Assessment Results Show Bright Spots
The State recently released the 2022 - 2023 school year Smarter Balanced Student Assessment (SBAC) results for grades 3 - 8 and 10 and the Science Assessment (WSAC) results for grades 5, 8, and 11. October 26, 2023: Marysville School District to Host Job Fair for School District Jobs
The Marysville School District has job openings in schools and the district in several areas: food service workers, bus drivers, paraprofessionals, classroom teachers including special education teachers, substitute teachers, speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, occupational therapists, counselors, mental health therapists, and custodians. October 7, 2022: District Director Boundary Changes Proposed
Affects school board elections only, not school boundaries.
Every ten years, after each U.S. Census is completed, school districts must review the boundaries of their board of director districts to ensure equitable geographic representation. Marysville School District is divided into five geographic regions or districts, one for each board seat. Candidates for school boards must run for the seat of the director district they live in. By creating five equal director districts, geographic diversity is ensured on the school board. Each position is elected by all district voters, so each of the five directors represents the entire district in their board actions. Click HERE to read more.
October 18, 2022: Board of Directors Adopt Levy Resolution
The Marysville School District Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 2023-02; Reinstatement Educational Programs and Operations Levy at their regular session board meeting held October 17, 2022.
The Resolution provides District officials with the ability to take the necessary steps to place an Educational Programs and Operations Programs Levy on the ballot on February 14, 2023, which provides for one proposition to reinstate the levy known as the E, P, & O. Click HERE to read more.
November 4, 2022: Superintendent Robbins Named One of NASSP's Principals of the Year
Dr. Zachary Robbins, Marysville School District Superintendent, was named the 2022 Secondary School Principal of the Year for Nevada.
Dr. Robbins was selected by the Nevada Association of School Administrators (NASA) as the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) Principal of the Year. “The NASSP is proud of all you have accomplished during a challenging school year,” shared Ronn Nozoe, Chief Executive Officer of the NASSP.
